We want to live like good neighbors

– Shah Mehmud Qureshi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan

After several Pakistan has expressed strong desire to talk about peace and mending its relationship with India. As per sources, Shah Mehmud Qureshi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan and Sushma Swaraj, Minister of Foreign Affairs, India met in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) – a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance.

As per sources,  Sushma and Qureshi sat next to each other and they spoke briefly during the event.  Qureshi, after the event said “We never speak bitterly, we want to live like good neighbors and settle our outstanding issues through talks”

The tension between India and Pakistan soared after Pulwama Terror Attacks and it touched new heights after Indian Wing Commander Abhinandhan was held under captive in Pakistan.

Despite all these tensions, Pak’s Foreign Minister calling for peace sounds like a sign of change. It must be mentioned that Imran Khan,  Cricketer turned Politician and current Prime Minister of Pakistan also has expressed his desire to start peace talks in India for some time. Last month, he said that the chance of beginning a peace talk is more plausible with Narendra Modi on the PM seat after election.
