The official Twitter handle of Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD (Army) tweeted a couple of photos of what was seeming to be a mysterious creature which was later addressed by the Indian Army as ‘Yeti’ also known to the world as ‘The Abominable Snowman’
The tweet said “For the first time, an #IndianArmy Moutaineering Expedition Team has sited Mysterious Footprints of mythical beast ‘Yeti’ measuring 32×15 inches close to Makalu Base Camp on 09 April 2019. This elusive snowman has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park in the past.”
The footprints were huge but only one foot’s impression was found. The trail of footsteps was leading towards the snowy mountains. If some usual conspiracy theorists had claimed this, we normally would take it lightly and debunk it but the Indian Army is the source of the news here.
But after a few days, the Nepal Officials have dismissed the Indian Army’s claims and suggested that it is the foot prints of a bear.
Sources have said that footprints of such kind would frequent the area. While Indian Army claims it is Yeti, Nepal officials and locals have said ‘Not Yet’.
