Admissions to the B.Tech programmes at Amrita School of Engineering are currently in progress Engineering aspirants can secure admission in two modes,to this prestigious University which was recently ranked as the 8th Best university in India under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2019.
Students can appear through the entrance examinations conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The last date for receiving applications is April 17, 2019. Entrance examinations will be conducted in over 100 centres across the county.
Apart from this, students will also be admitted to the constituent engineering colleges on their Joint Entrance Examinations Mains scores. The last date for receiving applications under this format is May 15. Counselling for admission to the B.Tech programmes is fully online with registrations for the same commencing from May 16, 2019.
“Amrita is one of the few private colleges which are taking students on the basis of JEE mains scores as well. Along with the existing colleges at Amritapuri, Coimbatore and Bangalore, this year we have a new campus at Chennai as well. Considering the popularity of our engineering programmes, we have increased the intake of seats from 2000 to 2600. We have added four new programmes as well considering their importance and the need for today’s world” , said, Dr.Sasangan, Dean (Engineering), Amrita School of Engineering.
Four new programmes have been added from this academic year onwards. They are Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), Computer & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering.
