Prof. Baskaran, a 49 year old Lecturer from Ganapathy , Coimbatore , was an employee of PSG Hospitals met with accident near Peelamedu on 9th april 19 and was admitted in PSG Hospitals on the same day. He was declared brain dead on 15/04/19 .
After obtaining proper approval from his relatives , his organ were harvested. His eyes were sent to Aravind Eye Hospital , heart to Fortis Malar Hospital, Chennai , one kidney was kept at PSG hospitals while another kidney was given to GKNM hospital , Skin & Spinal Cord was sent to Ganga Hospital.
For taking the timely decision and providing new lease of life to 6 people, the Management of PSG Hospitals thanked the family members of the deceased.
