HICAS hosts Bimbam-2019, South India Level Short Film Fest

The Department of Visual Communication of Hindusthan College of Arts Science is conducting BIMBAM 2019 – a South India Level Short Film Fest between April 2nd and 3rd. The Guests of Honor are Sivaram Mony, Director/Editor –MatchBox and Bilahari, Director –Allu Ramachandran.

Since 2005, Bimbam has been the right platform to showcase the talent of students and the youth in various fields of Visual Communication such as Film Making, Photography, Fine Arts.

While talking to A.Charles, HoD, Dept.of Visual Communication, HICAS, we came to know that the fest has received 45 entries and the best 12 will be aired on April 3rd in the mini theatre inside the campus. The 45 short films will be judged based on the making, concept and technicalities by a student and faculty panel today (April 2nd) and on 3rd Apr,  the best 12 will be aired before a Jury Panel comprising of an Alumni, faculty and 2 guests.

Through Sujinesh, Assitant Professor,Dept of Visual Communication, HICAS who is also the Organizing Secretary of this fest, we learned that along with shortfilm/documentary,  a photography and sketching contest is also on -going in connection with Bimbam.

While on our visit, we found out that the student team behind this event was working on making a real-life logo of the Bimbam event.  With full zeal, innovation and with the support of the faculty and management, Bimbam 2019 is sure to amaze more folks tomorrow.
