The Department of English of VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science, conducted the “Teach-Grammar” programmme as part of Extension Activity of the Department at Manbaul Uloom Primary School, Kuniyamuthur on 27.06.2017. The students of II and III BA English Literature participated as the trainers of the programme. The Activity focused on the importance of teaching English grammar at the primary level. The lesson plans and study materials enhanced the participation of learners with interest. The students from Grade I to V were the beneficiaries of the activity. The children were appreciated with the gifts at the end of the programme. The students of Literature were encouraged to learn teaching through this sort of activities once in a year. The participated students of II and III year students received appreciation from the Principal of the school and were awarded with pens as the token of appreciation.
