The Department of Tamil organized a meeting for the book release of Panithuli and Samuka Semmal Award ceremony 2019 at VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science. In memory of Amarar Venkataraman, the former secretary and pioneer in the contribution to the constant growth of VLB Janakiammal and Krishna Institutions, the book, Panithuli (compilation of teachers’ and students’ contributions) 8th Edition, was released by the Dept. of Tamil.
N.Suriya Kumar, Chairman, VLBJ Trust presided over the function. K.Shunmuga Sundaram, Principal, delivered his felicitations. The Chief Guest, Puviarasu, Poet, the recipient of Sahithya Academy Award, appreciated the efforts of the Institution to bring forth the creative talents of the faculty and students. P.Senthil Kumar, founder of ‘Uyirmalar’Trust, was awarded the Samuka Semmal 2019 for his excellence of service.
