Cambridge English Exams can open up a world of opportunities-Dave Baker

The Inauguration of Cambridge English Language Assessment Centre in the Department of English, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College was conducted.  Dave Baker, Assistant Director, Cambridge University, UK was the Chief Guest of the function and inaugurated the Cambridge English Language Assessment Centre (CELAC) and delivered the Inaugural Address. N. R. Alamelu, Principal welcomed the gathering. D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Joint Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust graced the occasion and delivered the Presidential Address and Ebenezer Jayakumar, Director (Academics), SREC felicitated the gathering.

Baker in his speech said that Cambridge English exams can open up a world of study, work, travel and employment opportunities. These high-quality International exams are designed to develop practical English language communication skills. He added that this opening of the centre would enable to offer exams to all schools, colleges and corporates assessing and qualifying them at the global level.

The Centre plaque was unveiled by the Chief Guest and Managing Trustee.

Around 1726 students and 281 faculty members of Institution have cleared BEC Exams successfully out of which 72 students and 16 faculty members have secured Distinction.

Finally he wished the students a bright future and to come out with flying colors.  Vathana Fenn, Head, Department of English proposed the Vote of Thanks.
