Recently, the Department of Civil Engineering at Dr.N.G.P Institute of Technology, Coimbatore conducted a One-Day Workshop centered on Utilization of E-Waste in Construction sponsored by CSIR. The event was inaugurated by K.Baskar, Professor & Head, Dept. of Civil Engineering, NIT, Tiruchirapalli and the welcome address was delivered by P.Muthupriya, Professor & Head, Dept. of Civil Engineering, Dr.N.G.P IT. About 130 students belonging to various colleges in Tamil Nadu attended this workshop.
Dr.Nalla G.Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH delivered the presidential address and Dr.Thavamani D Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr.N.G.P IT gave special address to the gathering. Dr.O.T.Buvaneswaran, CEO, KMCRET and K. Porkumaran, Principal Dr.N.G.P IT felicitated the gathering. The Vote of thanks was proposed by G.Ramesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, Dr.N.G.P IT.
Resources persons shared their views on areas like- Effective utilization of Electronic Plastic Waste as Partial Replacement for Coarse Aggregate in Concrete, Waste Management of E- Plastic Waste as Fillers in Bituminous Pavements and Utilization of E- Waste in Concrete.
