India outshines Australia in their own backyard

History has finally been re-written after 71 years as India wins their first ever series on Australian Soil. The tourists had arrived with a clear plan under their captain V.Kohli to go all out against a depleted Oz team without their star batsmen Steve Smith and David Warner and everyone predicted that this is the best chance for India to win a series and so did it turn out to be.

The party started at Adelaide Oval with a poor outing at Perth but the tourists made sure to buckle up at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The hosts were beaten 2-1 courtesy to rain gods who saved the Australian camp else it was all set to become 3-1 which would have been a real disgraceful thing for the best cricketing nation.

C.Pujara was awarded Player of the Match and Series for his brilliant tons during the first test at Adelaide and 4th test at Sydney. It was also a personal milestone for Virat Kohli as he becomes the first ever Indian captain to win a series in Australia. Australia showed fighting spirit but India was simply too good and ticked all the boxes to rightfully take home the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
