Recently, the Electrical Engineering and Electronics (EEE) Dept. of Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology took an initiative of organizing TNSCST Sponsored a Two Day National Level Seminar on Sustainable Industry Institute Interaction in the Challenging Global Environment, for exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. Participants in the event were UG and PG students of various institutions. The theme of the seminar was “Sustainable Industry Institute Interaction in the Challenging Global Environment”.
The basic objective of the seminar was to bring together academicians and experts from various industries to exchange knowledge and ideas. The seminar was done in collaboration with Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology and was inaugurated by N. Jayabal Director, Salzer Electronics Limited. Sudha Purushotaman, Founder, Women Business Enterprise Development Association, Coimbatore shared her experience on how to build bridge between Academia & Industry.
Shameer, Co-Founder, Mahalingam, Founder, Visual Birds & pickmyvoice.com and Deepa Muthukumarasamy, Founder & CEO, Some more Foodshad shared their experiences about the challenges they faced while raising funds for their startups. The second day of the seminar was conducted by S.K.Shreenivas, Founder & CEO, KST Wind Engineering India, Tiruppur. Others present at the event were J.Srikanth, Director/MBA, Dr. N.G.P.IT, Dr.T. Anbalagan, software Architect, Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Limited, Coimbatore. K. Porkumaran, Principal, delivered the valedictory address and the Vote of thanks was proposed by V.Ranganayaki, Associate professor, Dr. N.G.P. IT.
