The PG and Research Department of Mathematics of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore and Indian Science Congress Association, Coimbatore Chapter jointly organised 2nd International Conference on Current Scenario in Pure and Applied Mathematics (ICCSPAM 2019)
Sunil Jacob John, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala delivered the Inaugural Address. S.Jeeva Sathya Theesar, Department of Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences, Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malayasia delivered the Keynote Address.
Sunil Jacob John delivered the Inaugural Address. He said the field of Mathematics has evolved greatly. “Now we have a paradigm shift. Other branches of science have understood that the fundamentals of Mathematics is vital for them”
He also said “we live in the era of collaboration. We give ideas and get ideas to combine them for a fruitful future” He expressed that conferences such as these would be beneficial to a plethora of students, research scholars and professors.
During the event, the softcopy of the research contents published by the Department in the American International Journal of Research in Science, Technology, engineering and Maths was released by
S.Jeeva Sathya Theesar.
The Hardcopies of the same was released and it was presented to the dignitaries.
Jeeva Sathya then took over the session and spoke on the topic Current Role of Maths in the Era of IoT and Industry 4.0.
