Looks like being born as a female is still a curse in developing countries like India. Violence against girl children and women are constantly on the rise and little seems to be done to address the issue. Keeping this factor in mind, the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Society of India organized a rally within the school premises of S.R.P Ammaniammal Girls Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore stressing to save and educate girl child.
This rally was done across India simultaneously with the motto to Save Girl Child by the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Society of India located in Mumbai and aims to enter the Limca Book of World Records. Cities across the nation saw this event being conducted across corporation schools and colleges. The event saw distribution of sanitary napkins among the students to promote safe health.
