The Department of Biochemistry (PG) & Research, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore organized a guest lecture on ‘Plant proteins as potent toxins against cancer’ recently at the Seminar Hall.
Jannet Vennila, Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore was the Chief Guest of the function and delivered the special address on ‘Plant proteins as potent toxins against cancer’.
In her speech, she narrated the potential of plant proteins in cancer treatment and also mentioned the role of ribosomal inactivating proteins isolated from the plant sources for cancer therapy. She also added about the research opportunities available for the students in India and abroad.
