Around the Antarctic in 54 Days, alone!

Colin O Brady is a 33 year old American Pro-Endurance Athlete and an adventurer. He is also a world record holder for climbing the highest mountains such as Denali, Aconcagua, Vinson, Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro, Everest, Elbrus, Puncak Jaya and Kosciuszko in record time.

Recently, the daredevil ventured into the Antarctic without anyone to help him and he has triumphantly travelled around the cold deserted continent covering 1500 kms in 54 days. He began his travel on Nov 3 and he kept posting his experience online till the end. You might doubt his authenticity as your mind may tell you to suspect how it is possible to share pictures in social media from Antarctica. This polar region has a dedicated mobile service provider.

Colin gathered all the essentials he needed, tied them in a sled and pulled them all the way to his final destination. He had to endure the wicked weather, physical exertion and the psychological trauma.  But Colin was a fun-lover. His pictures in his official Instagram page are evidence to this claim. After reaching the ultimate stop, he called his wife and say “I did it”.

He is the first man to achieve this solo adventurous travel across the Antarctic. Others have also travelled through the Antarctic but they had assistance from companions or they used devices to pull them towards the end. He will be welcomed like a hero when he returns to his hometown Portland.
