ELCE Hernia Clinic, a unit of ELCE Clinics and Hospitals in the backdrop of Hernia awareness is set to conduct a campaign. The campaign named as ELCE Hernia Campaign will begin on 17th of December and go on till 27th of December. People suffering from Hernia can visit the camp and avail free consultation and special packages for World class Laparoscopic mesh repairs.
Addressing the press, Dr.P.S.Rajan, Chairman, ELCE Hospitals said, that he has operated all types of Hernias which include very large hernias, recurrent hernias and even complicated hernias. All these operations were done laparoscopically and require a stay of just one day at the hospital. During his talk, he also showed how the operation is done and what exactly happens to a patient when hernia occurs. He believes that a surgeon has to be well experienced to perform Laparoscopy and most importantly the stitching around that area should be strong enough to prevent it from recurring.
Dr.P.S.Rajan cautioned people by stating that if there is an unusual bulge, the individual should immediately visit the doctor. If unchecked for a prolonged period of time, it will lead to complications which would then require a major surgery.
