The Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering of PSG College of Technology is organizing the 2nd International Conference on Advancements in Automation, Robotics and Sensing (ICAARS 2018). The conference which began on 13th of December will end on 15th December and will provide a platform for researchers, industrial experts, academicians and practicing engineers to exchange information related to technological advances in these fields. The motto of the event is to cross-fertilize these three areas which in turn will lead to growth of latest advances on Industrial Automation and Robotics.
The conference was inaugurated by Santosh K.Misra IAS, CEO, TamilNadu e-Governance Agency. The conference was felicitated by Marc Jarrault, MD, LAPP India and R.Krishnamoorthy, General Manager, L&T Technology Services. The Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering also took pride in honoring the start-ups of the department alumni. The Conference saw a unique conglomerate of eminent speakers and distinguished scientists from both India and abroad.
The Conference hosted in India is structured to provide ample opportunity for participants from across the globe to form professional networks and learn through active participation.
The event is being sponsored by Government Agency – Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences and Non-Government Agencies like Consul Neowatt Power, Cognizant Technology Services, Titan Industries, Caterpillar, EPLAN, Danfoss, Festo and likewise. The Conference saw an exhibition with about 25 stalls.
