Celebrating its 7th annual sports day, Avatar Public School (APS) inaugurated its sports academy and basketball cum skating ground. R.Pandiarajan, Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore inaugurated the Avatar Sports Academy while V.P.Dhanapal, FIBA Commissioner cum Coach inaugurated the basketball court. C.S.Sasikumar, Chairman , APS, M.Senthilkumar, Correspondent, APS, C.Arul Paraksam, Secretary, APS and R.Rudramoorthy, Treasurer, APS presided over the function.
M.Senthilkumar, Correspondent stated that Avatar Sports Academy will function as a separate entity, which provides screening, consulting and professional training for the students. The academy will conduct special events and has planned to help the deserving people who are passionate in sports.
Pandiarajan, SP, Coimbatore said that parents should be ready to sacrifice themselves for their children’s growth. He requested them to allow their children to play outside and urged them to not entertain the use of electronic gadgets.
V.P. Dhanapal , FIBA Commissioner said that the time parents should spend more time with their children. He requested them to let their children spread their wings and not to clip it. He mentioned that the career path chosen out of passion by their children will bear fruit, provided the parents lend their support.
