Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Texavalley – An Integrated Market are jointly organizing the first edition of ‘Weaves’ – South India’s Premier Textile Fair, from 5th to 8th of December, 2018 at Texvalley, Erode. Weaves will be the first of its kind event focusing on promoting the Power Loom/Handloom Industry and will feature more than 250 plus exhibitors from across Tamil Nadu, showcasing their products.
Weaves will see participation from countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Vietnam, UAE, Dubai, Kenya, and South Africa and from the weaving communities in Indian cities like Surat, Banaras and Dharmavaram. Weaves will have separate pavilions for Yarn, Fashion Designer, and Nabard cluster pavilion. A coffee table book featuring the textile industry leaders of Tamil Nadu will be launched at the event and first of its kind in India, 25 Power Loom cluster in Tamil Nadu will sign exclusive joint venture with 25 educational institutions. Weaves is expected to generate business for Rs.800 Crore.
