Park College of Engineering and Technology’s Freshman Engineering Department conducted “Fresher’s CodeWar V1.0”, a unique coding event, exclusively for First-Year Engineering students from Tamil Nadu. The main aim of the event was to provide a stage for students to exhibit their coding skills, preparing them to overcome the challenges of a competitive future environment.
The inauguration of the event took place at the auditorium in Kaniyur campus. The function was presided by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO, Park Instituions. Dr. Prabhu Kalaiselvan, Director, Deloitte, Coimbatore participated as the Chief Guest. 950 students from various colleges in Tamil Nadu registered for this event. Dr. Lakshmanan D, Principal, Park College of Engineering and Technology welcomed the gathering.
Dr. Anusha Ravi during her Presidential speech, remembered her experience in setting up Wi Fi Internet in the plane while working in a project at Air Bus, she mentioned that computer and coding is inevitable. Technology keeps changing hence grab everything and learn every new technology. Before concluding her speech she advised students to be proud of themselves, to always think bigger and to provide solution for problems as an Engineer.
The Chief Guest Dr. Prabhu Kalaiselvan, in his speech, presented three key things for success: to be aware of everything, to be adaptable and to be agile. He advised students to have clear vision and plan for execution. Speaking on the importance of time, he added that it was the biggest asset for a human being and hence should be spent wisely. He also encouraged students to be brave in taking any steps in career.
The winners of the event were awarded with cash prize and certificate. Dr. Anusha Ravi, gave away the certificates and congratulated the winners.
