Graduation day- an important milestone in the journey of students

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. Students become graduates on the commencement day.   Graduation day is a special, memorable occasion, the day when all the hardwork and sacrifice done by students, parents and family members  yield results which unfold in front of their eyes.

He mentioned five skills of leadership that students should possess namely compassion, critical thinking, commitment, communication and character. These skills will make you better leaders of tomorrow”, he further added. He stressed the importance of integrity of character. “Your integrity is the only thing over which you have complete control, don’t lose it in exchange for anything in your life”. He advised the students to be scrupulously honest which will make them the best leaders in today’s world.

Dr. Sammy Juan Spann while addressing the students mentioned two things which he said he is always amazed about- skyscrapers and butterflies. “The highest skyscrapers are 20 feet deep which talks about the hard work that has gone into building them. Students should be willing to work hard and gain deep knowledge about things they work on.
