Graduation Ceremony was held on Saturday 25-07-2022 for the students of the academic year 2016-2020 and 2015-2019 at Karpagam Engineering College.
Dr. R. Vasantha Kumar, President, Karpagam Educational Institutions, presided over the graduation ceremony and Prof. Dr. V. Kamakoti Director (IIT, Chennai) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The chief guest, Dr. V. Kamakoti in his address, highlighted that with self-confidence and perseverance, students can turn any challenge into a gift. He advised them to develop a keen interest in exploring new technologies. He foresaw that they would realize that science and technology should work together to save the people from more epidemics and natural disasters. Accordingly, they should gain a profound knowledge in their fields and carry out research works for the benefit of society.
He pointed out that the medical field along with engineering has led to saving people’s lives from deadly diseases like Covid-19, cancer, etc. The idea that education is a way for people to live happily in harmony with nature must be born in our minds. He regretted that despite a large number of students graduating from universities, the number of those improving their knowledge in research is low. He advised the students to take advantage of the opportunities and privileges offered by the government to enhance their future quality of life with intellectual pursuits. When concluding he wished the graduates to live productively and contribute to take India on the path of development.
With his thought-provoking address, the ceremony was concluded.
