– Rotary Utsav 2022
Rotary International District 3201 held its District Conference titled Rotary Utsav 2022 on Saturday at PSG Convention Centre.
Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana took part as the Chief Guest, Jairam Varadaraj, MD, ELGi Equipments Ltd., served as the Guest of Honor.
Rtn.R.S.Maruti, the Conference Chairman in his Welcome Address shared about the enormous efforts that has been undertaken by Team Utsav to make this occasion a memorable one.
Rtn.Rajashekhar Srinivasan, District Governor, RI Dist. 3201, shared about the various ongoing projects, projects supported by Global Grants and the goals set by RI Dist. 3201 since he took over as the Governor, including new Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs, Rotary Community Corps, increasing District membership, youth support, farmers support and TRF contributions.
Dr.Tamilisai in her address appreciated Rotary for the philanthropic works it is doing. She particularly appreciated RI Dist. 3201 for constructing hundreds of toilets in schools that lacked the facility and establishment of dialysis center for public. Speaking generally, she encouraged the people to be prolific with their mother tongue and acquire knowledge of other languages.
Jairam Varadaraj in his address said a nation’s true development is not the size of the economy but how rich every citizen is, and how elevated their lives have become. He urged all to put their purpose ahead of profits so that we can inject equity in this society and make it a developed one.
Rtn.Lalit Mohan Gupta, RI President Rtn.Shekhar Mehta’s Representative said that Rotary 3201 is already fulfilling RI President’s dreams by their activities by doing big and life-changing activities.
