As a way of honoring parents who have made valuable contributions in bringing up their wards in their Higher Education pursuit, Rathinam College of Arts and Science bestowed the Most Valuable Parent award at the event Samarpannam, recently.
It was jointly organized by the college’s School of Science (which includes. Depts. of Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, Bio-technology and Microbiology) and the Parent Teachers Association.
Totally, 75 parents were awarded with the award, while the class toppers were honored with cash rewards at the program.
Kavidasan, Director- HR, Roots Industries gave away the awards to the parents in the presence of R. Manickam CEO and Secretary, R. Muralidharan, Principal, Rathinam CAS. The Chief Guest underlined the important role played by parents in shaping the lives of students. Deans and Heads of School of Science Departments, faculty members and students took part in the event.
