KCT collaborates with BIM Academy to train in-house faculty 

Sakthi Excellence Academy (SEA), and Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIM Academy (Building Information and Modelling and Management) United Kingdom, UK and Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK.

The MoU was signed by Shankar Vanavarayar, President, Kumaraguru Institutions and Graham Kelly, Director, BIM Academy, and both spoke about the association and the opportunities to explore.

BIM is used in construction, project management, facility management, maintenance of buildings as well in asset management systems. Based on the pact, SEA-KCT will train the in-house faculty and offer the BIM training programs to graduates, practitioners and professionals and equip them with the knowledge of BIM.

Joseph V Thanikal, Director, KCT-SEA and Professor Bimal Kumar, Northumbria University addressed the gathering. Andrew Johnson, Project Manager of BIM Academy, Principals of KCT and KCLAS (Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science), Executive Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer of KCT, Heads of Departments and Faculty participated in the event.
