The Nine Myths of Entrepreneurship

Among the various myths prevailing in the realm of Entrepreneurship, the first and often heard one is ‘College dropouts make great entrepreneurs’, expressed Prapti Banerjee, the Founder and Director, Eueco Technology & Service.

In the latest edition of E-connect of DJ Academy for Managerial Excellence, the students and faculty of the college got the opportunity to listen and interact with her.

E-connect is an interaction-initiative with entrepreneurs, and in this edition, she addressed students on ‘Myths and Realities in Entrepreneurship.

Prapti Banerjee started the session by sharing her views on an entrepreneurial journey; she addressed the students about the Nine Myths of Entrepreneurship: the First myth is “College dropouts make great entrepreneurs”, Second “Idea is everything”, Third “An entrepreneur is his/her own boss”, Fourth “Entrepreneurs need to have passion”, Fifth” Entrepreneurs are solo visionaries”, Sixth “Market Size = Business opportunity”, Seventh “Entrepreneurs must be good at pitching to VC’s”, Eighth “ Generating Fund is Success”. Nine “Passion, Dedication and Hard work always ensure success”. She also shared in detail the realities behind each of the myths she discussed.

The session was followed by a Q & A session. Students, Faculty members of DJAME and other institution faculties, students took part in this interaction initiative.
