PSG-Schneider Electrician Training Centre inaugurated

PSG Polytechnic College (PSG PTC), Coimbatore joined hands with France based leading global energy & automation solutions provider Schneider Electric to provide skill training to students via the newly established PSG-Schneider Electrician Training Centre.

This centre is a CSR initiative coming from Schneider Electric India Foundation, and it was inaugurated on Monday in the presence of Udai Singh, VP, SBU Head – Electrical Systems &Equipment, L&T Electrical &Automation, the Chief Guest and B.Giriraj, Principal, S.Sasikala, Head of EEE, PSG PTC.

SV Mayekar, Plant Head, Schneider Electric India, Coimbatore delivered a special address, Prashanth Shetty, Sr.Manager-CSR, Schneider Electric India, Bengaluru offered felicitation.

As the availability of well-trained manpower is low in developing countries, initiative like this is seen as the need of the hour for the industry and academia. PSG PTC is the first Polytechnic College in Coimbatore to get such a training centre from Schneider Electric, which has set up several centers of excellence have been established in other parts of the State and Country.
