Graduation Day at Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture

The students of agriculture should gain expertise in A.I. and Machine Learning because these fields have been exhibiting strong impact agriculture, and harnessing these technologies is vital for posterity, shared N.Kumar, Vice Chancellor, TNAU.

He was sharing these words as the Chief Guest at Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture’s convocation ceremony which was held in virtual mode recently for the graduating batches of 2018 and 2019.

Prakash, Correspondent, KIA presided the virtual convocation. B.J. Pandian, Principal, Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture delivering the welcome address. The convocation ceremony was declared open by the Correspondent, KIA. Muniasamy, Executive Officer, Kumaraguru Institutions Group introduced the Guests.

Following this, the Chief Guest addressed the students. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized adopting farm mechanization, precision farming, and innovative technology usage to overcome the challenges in agriculture. Further, he stated that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are progressively impacting Agriculture and the students are to gain expertise in those domains for a progressive future. Finally, he congratulated the graduates and wished them to dream big, pursue their passion and realize their goals.

In his graduation day address, Rahul Mirchandani, Chairman & Managing Director, Aeries Agro Ltd stated that the young graduates should learn from the farmers, the Agripreneurs with incredible business skills to bridge the gap between Labs to Land knowledge transfer.

He insisted on blending agriculture with Robotics, AI, ML & Data Science to contribute to Farming Community. Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions offered felicitations.
