Pioneer College supports Datri’s noble cause

As per Globocan 2020, over 20,000 new cases of childhood blood cancer are diagnosed every year in India, of which nearly 15,000 of those cases is leukemia. The only hope for saving these patients is through blood stem cell donation.

Datri, a not-for-profit organization maintains India’s largest Unrelated Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry, and recently it organised a Blood Stem Cell Donor registration drive at Pioneer College of Arts & Science. Members of YRC and Voluntary Blood Donors Club registered as donors.

By registering with DATRI as a potential blood stem cell donor, one can give these patients and their families, a ray of hope to see a second chance to live their life again.

Thanking the college, Datri said via a press release “Pioneer College of Arts & Science YRC for giving us the opportunity to conduct a Blood Stem Cell Donation Drive successfully. We urge and request everyone to please come forward and help DATRI in its mission and noble cause. A simple registration with DATRI can make you worthy of Gifting a Life to someone who needs your help. Let us make our lives more meaningful by contributing towards our society”.
