The Hindu Group in association with Thyrocare organized recently Kabaddi Kabaddi, a two day state level Kabaddi Tournament at Nehru Stadium.
As many as 50 Kabaddi team from Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Nilgiris, participated.
The aim of conducting such an event was to encourage the rural people and provide a platform to showcase their talent, said a source person.
Earlier, the tournament was conducted in cities like Trichy, Jolarpettai, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Tiruverkadu, Tirunelveli and Salem.
The regional winner will be presented with 25,000 cash prize and 15,000 for the second place and 7,000 for the third and fourth place, sources said.
The event was powered by Black Thunder, Suguna Pumps & Motors was the Associate Sponsor and Ortho One was the Sports Medicine Partner.
