People aged 45+ can get vaccinated starting Apr.1

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar conveyed at a Cabinet briefing on Tuesday that all those above 45 years of age can get vaccinated for Covid-19 from April 1.

It was reported that this Central Government’s decision was taken after consultation with the COVID-19 task force and scientists.Under the second phase of Covid-vaccination, people who are above 60 years of age and those above 45 years who have comorbidities. Now everyone who is above 45 years of age can avail the vaccination regardless of whether they have comorbid factors.

The minister underlined that the vaccines are adequately available in the country, and the public can get registered and vaccinated without worries. It should be noted that more than 4.7 crore Indians have been vaccinated till Monday.
