Karpagam Group of Educational Institutions organized a signing campaign to save water on Monday. This was held in association with Kovai Kulangal Pathukappu Amaippu, Coimbatore, NSS, UNICET and NCC.
Shantha Sheela Nair, IAS (Rtd), Former Vice Chairperson of Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission, participated in virtual mode as the Chief Guest and spoke on the importance of saving water.
During this occasion the faculty were provided with water taken from Noiyal River at its origin in Western Ghats. Manikandan, Water Warrior Awardee from Union Ministry of Jai Shakthi, Department of Water Resources, River Department and Ganga Rejuvenation, Govt. of India also took part in the event.
