The Department of Civil Engineering, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Neelambur, Coimbatore conducted a ‘One day Workshop on Engineering Excellence for Diploma Civil Engineering Students’. The inauguration was held recently.
G.Chandramohan, Principal, PSG iTech welcomed the gathering. P.V.Mohanram, Secretary, PSG iTech presided over the function. Sankar Subramanian, Chairman, ISTE-Tamil Nadu Section inaugurated the workshop. Totally 60 polytechnic civil engineering students from various reputed polytechnic college attended the workshop.
The basic concepts in the design of bridges were taught to the students. Also, events like bridge i2i, Cadd Contest and Best surveyor were conducted during the afternoon session. Prizes were distributed to the winners in the events.
