The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore (ICCIC) announced that it welcomes Tamil Nadu’s Interim Budget, especially 3 announcement that were presented by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister O.Panneerselvam recently.
C.Balasubramanian, President, ICCIC said via a press release that the Chamber and Coimbatoreans welcome the allocation of Rs. 6683 crore towards Coimbatore Metro Rail Project, waiver of agricultural loans and allocation of Rs. 5000 crore in budget for this purpose, and the announcement that the Athikadavu-Avinashi Scheme will be completed by December 2021.
On the other hand, the Chamber also mentioned that the trade and business community of Coimbatore region expect job protection and support to the MSME sector here, as their operations had been affected by Covid-19. The Press Release further mentioned that the trade community here is in much need for additional moratorium for repayment of loan.
