The Department of Biotechnology of Dr.NGP Arts and Science College, under the DBT STAR College Scheme conducted an awareness of International Day of Women’s Health on Friday
The program was inaugurated with a presidential address by the Principal, V.Rajendran and felicitated by DBT – Star College Coordinator, S.S. Sudha, Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, Coimbatore.
They stressed that Women’s health awareness programs must be the thought of the day for students irrespective of their academic disciplines to which they belong. All the faculty members of the Department of Biotechnology participated in the event and encouraged the students to display their talents in various forms.
The purpose of the celebration is to remind all the women that they can face their health issues with their spirit and will power, and of course, with healthy food habit. Being precautionary measure on women’s health is not only important for supporting those going through it but also for preventing it. There are 146 students of Biotechnology Department of the college participated.
