R.Chandrashekhar, Founder of Aalayam Welfare Trust was selected as the new President of Tamilnadu Paralympics Sports Association on Thursday.
Sources mentioned that Chandrashekhar took charge as President at a private hostel in Chennai. 2016 Summer Paralympic games Gold medal winner Mariyappan Thangavelu, K.Periaiah IPS, Inspector General of Police, Coimbatore West Zone, President of India Paralympics Association Deepa Malik were also present there.
Chandrashekhar hails from Coimbatore district. After completing his engineering degree, he joined AIADMK. He also runs a charitable trust called Aalayam Welfare Trust.
