KST announces biennial Tamil literary award

Since 1983, Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust (KST) in Coimbatore recognizes the best Tamil novel published in India once in every two year and honors it with the ‘Tmt. Rangamal Prize’.

The Trust’s executive committee has invited the Tamil novels that were published in 2019 and 2020 for the ‘Tmt.Rangamal Prize-2021’. The prize includes Rs. 50,000 cash reward (i.e) Rs. 40,000 for the novelist and Rs.10,000 for the publisher, along with certificate and memento.

Interested novelists and publishers who wish to participate for this honor should submit their publication (4 copies) to the Trust’s executive committee before February 28th, 2021.

Last year, KST received 40 Tamil novels published during 2017& 2018 and out of that the novel ‘Gangapuram’ by writer A.Vennila, published by Akani Veliyeedu was selected by the judges unanimously as the winner.
