As a part of TNAU’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Eachangkottai, Thanjavur organised a National level webinarathon for continuous 20 hours on the eve of National Women Farmers’ Day (Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas) and World Student Day on Thursday. This webinar was also a World Record attempt.
The webinar was inaugurated by the Vice-chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Dr.N. Kumar. Webinar sessions included topics about various scope and opportunities available for students after pursing their agricultural course. Skill building programs for children have also been organised.
Various competition viz., online quiz, essay writing, poem writing, slogan writing, poster making. Photograpty, meme creation, cartooning, Rangoli and drewing on the backdrop of women empowerment and students’ role in contemporary Indian society were conducted online.
Winners of the event were announced during the webinar sessions. More than 2000 people viewed the YouTube livestream.
