Rotary provides free health check-up for sanitary workers

Rotary Club of Coimbatore Monarks joined hands with Veeku Multi-speciality Hospitals to conduct a free health and cardio care camp for the sanitary workers of R S Puram at the hospital venue here on Thursday.

Initially about 50 sanitary workers belonging to R S Puram ward, West Zone of Coimbatore Corporation got their health checked.  The organizers said in a statement that they have planned to conduct this program for about 300 members in a phasic manner for the sanitary workers of Coimbatore Corporation.

The main purpose of this health camp will be to promote the concept “Know Your Numbers” which lays emphasis on awareness of periodic health assessment and importance of healthy lifestyle.  This free health camp was held as a gesture of gratefulness for the sanitary workers’ valuable service.

Dr. C S Karthik, Cardiologist and Diabetologist, Veeku Hospitals was the Chief Guest.  Rotary Monarks’ President Rtn.Dr.S.Sumathi, Secretary Rtn.Suresh Kunnath, Community Service Director Rtn. Sudhakar, Event Chairperson Rtn.C.S.Subashree and members participated.
