Happykin & Rotary Monarks donate sanitary napkins in tribal village

With the lockdown still in effect, women especially those living in rural regions and those with less access to outside regions would find it hard to keep adequate sanitary napkins at home.

As a generous gesture, Happykin – a Coimbatore based start-up and Rotary club of Coimbatore Monarks jointly distributed Sanitary napkins to the tribal village women community in Kondana Pudur, Anaikatti this Sunday.

A statement from Happykin said that they will continue to provide support to other tribal villages, rural panchayats in Coimbatore and it will also extended to other districts of TamilNadu.

Aswin Rajkumar, Founder and Managing Director, Happy kin in a statement to the press and media said that this online-startup is launching a social program called The Happykin Initiative.

Objective of this initiative is to make sanitary napkins accessible to every single menstruating women and also educate women in rural regions to use the quality sanitary napkins.

Happykin says that their initiative’s main motto is ‘Pads shouldn’t be a choice nor a taboo! It’s the basic rights a woman could hold.’
