All-Religion Prayer offered at Mahatma Gandhi’s house

Limited number of residents of the famous Sabarmathi Ashram (which was Mahatma Gandhi’s home between 1917 and 1930) offered an all religion prayer meet on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 151 Birth Anniversary.

Usually students and public will be invited to take part in the prayer but due to the prevailing threat of COVID-19, only a few residents of the Ashram took part. It was also aired via the Ashram’s Trust so that others could take part virtually in the prayer.

Chief of the Ashram, Atul Pandya said, “We have an old tradition of organizing an all-religion prayer meet on Gandhi Jayanti. Normally, citizens and students are invited to attend it. But this time, due to coronavirus, only a few Ashram residents were allowed to attend the prayer meet.”
