PM’s visits to abroad contributed to well-being of people – MEA

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to foreign nations has been a constant topic in 2019, given that he had travelled twice than his predecessor Manmohan Singh since coming to power in 2014.

Recently, the Ministry of External Affairs conveyed that Modi has travelled to 58 countries since 2015 and that has resulted in an expenditure of Rs. 517.82 crore.  The information was provided by Minister of State V.Muraleedharan while answering the question raised by Nationalist Congress Party Fauzia Khan.

The visits have “enhanced understanding of India’s perspectives on bilateral, regional and global issues by other countries, and have strengthened our relations with them across a wide range of sectors including trade and investment, technology, maritime, space, defence collaboration and people to people contact. These in turn have contributed to India’s national development agenda to promote economic growth and well-being of our people,” it was mentioned in the reply.
