PUBG is one of the most popular smartphone games in India and the most recent one to be banned by the Indian Government. The Business Today stated that PUBG Corporation, the South Korean Company who is the original developer of the game is reportedly in talks with Indian Business magnate Mukhesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio to make it as its publisher/distributor.
The discussions between the two entities are said to have reached the stage where they are now in talks about the revenue-sharing and negotiation parts. However there is no official word from either of the two corporations about this tie-up and it is still an unconfirmed news circulating in the media right now.
India has been a huge-market for PUBG with several reports citing that 175 million installation of the game have been made. Losing India, though is not a massive blow, is still a loss for the company.
