The Intensive Pulse Polio programme covering children aged less than five will begin on 2nd April, 2017
‘Around 1581 polio drops centre will be established in the District of Coimbatore which will benefit 3.33lakh children below the age group of 5 years.
34 centers will be established in prominent places of the city like Railway stations, bus stations, airports and commercials joints to ensure 100% vaccination. 20 mobile vans will tour the city with qualified staff to administer polio drops to children who are unable to present to the vaccination centers.
The 2nd dosage will be administered on 30th April 2017.
