The Directors of The Chennai Silks, Sri Kumaran Thanga Maligai and SCM Groups constructed 3 classrooms for the Tirupur Corporation School at the cost of Rs.45 lakh and handed over them to the district administration recently.
From 1965, all the members of the well-known The Chennai Silks Group studied up to 5th Standard in the Tirupur Corporation School which is now called as Tirupur Kumar Nagar Higher Secondary School.
In the year 1999, A.Kulandaivel Mudaliar, the Founder of The Chennai Silks donated 2 classrooms. At the request of the school-administration, the three entities have constructed three classrooms at the school that are collectively named A.Kulandaivel Mudaliar – Naachammal Memorial Classrooms and handed them to the District Administration.
