A pregnant woman from Namakkal district who was tested COVID-positive in her hometown struggled to find a hospital for delivering her baby. Placing her trust in KMCH, her family approached the hospital and she was admitted at the KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital near Kalapatti Road on 21.7.2020.
The woman is twenty-nine years old and she was from Paramathivelur town in Namakkal. As she was nine-months pregnant, she sought admission in a private hospital earlier for her delivery in her hometown. She was subjected to a COVID-19 test on 20.7.2020. Her result came on the next day (21.7.2020) and she was found to be COVID-Positive. That private hospital refused to admit her.
A person in her family shared that Kovai Medical Center and Hospital has advanced facilities and advised them to enquire there. Her family approached KMCH rightaway. Since KMCH has an exclusive COVID-19 hospital with quality infrastructure and medical staff support, she was given the green-light for admission. She got admitted at KMCH Medical College (Covid-19) Hospital on 21.7.2020. On Tuesday (28.7.2020), she delivered a healthy girl baby.
