Kongu Global Forum thanks Chief Minister for Noyyal Rejuvenation Project announcement

Kongu Global Forum- an association of representatives from philanthropists of 7 districts of Western Tamil Nadu (that includes Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode) thanked the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for announcing the Rs. 230 crore River Noyyal Rejuvenation Project.

The Kongu Global Forum and a host of other NGOs in all the 7 Districts have worked tremendously for the revival of this river over the past two decades. The announcement is a welcomed by the Forum and it says the announcement has given new hope to the people of this region.

They thanked the CM and Minister SP Velumani for this announcement which will support more than 18,000 Acres of farm lands in the region.

The Members of the Forum and Siruthuli visited Minister SP Velumani on Saturday 30th May to express their thanks to him for his support in rejuvenating River Noyyal. He has further assured of all possible assistance to make this region water sufficient.

The NGOs also hope that sewage treatment will be an integral part of the project in order to ensure flow of clean water in the River all through the year. The NGOs also look forward to working with the Tamil Nadu Government to expedite the project.
