PSG & Sons’ Charities to donate food for 1500 needy during lockdown till April 14

With lockdown mode effective in Coimbatore due to threat caused by novel Coronavirus, PSG & Sons’ Charities which holds its founder’s vision “Let there be Charity, so others can share my family’s prosperity” has come forward to donate food for 1500 needy people from March 31 to April 14.

“Under the guidance of Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons’ Charities L. Gopalakrishnan, our Charitable Trust has started the process of making food for 1500 needy people (that includes migrant workers, the poor and desperate apart from the public) in the PSG Tech Boys Hostel Mess.” R. Vinoth, Operations Manager, PSG Hospitals said.

Hygienically made by a team of 7 kitchen staff and assisted by 40 volunteering staff of PSG Institutions, one batch of food for 700 people will be sent to Coimbatore District Collectorate.

R. Vinoth added that the second batch containing food for approx. 800 people will be handed over to No Food Waste – a well known Non Profit Organisation that delivers food to the poor. The menu includes variety rice like Lemon, Tomato and Curd rice. This is done also to be of assistance to the Government of Tamil Nadu in this challenging times.
