The impact of COVID 19 has been high in USA. The country has around 35,178 confirmed infected cases. California based Diagnostics Company ‘Cepheid’ announced that it has developed a rapid coronavirus test with faster detection time of 45 mins, and it has been given an emergency-use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration of USA. It is a molecular, Polymerase chain reaction based Test with high rates of accuracy, the company claims.
The testing materials is planned to begin shipping to hospitals next week. International news agency Reuters reported that Cepheid will make it available in Hospitals and emergency rooms. It could roll-out the availability of its testing by March 30. The price of the test is not made available for public by the company.
