Stranded travellers in Covai get free food & accomodation

North Indians and other state-bound travellers in Coimbatore who couldn’t return to their natives by train due to Indian Railways’ cancelling of all passenger trains till March 31, breathed a sigh of relief as NGOs came forward to give them food and water relief, while District Collector K.Rajamani after holding discussions with Police Commissioner Sumit Sharan IPS has announced them free accommodations and food.The collector in his address to the press and media said that measures will be taken to provide food and lodging facilities for the stranded train passengers of other states. Due to the cancellation of passenger trains to prevent COVID 19, the collector requested the employers of others stranded like these innocent people to provide food and accommodation aid till the situation comes to normalcy. 

The NGOs of the city came forward to help the people and the collector appreciated them for their good-Samaritan work. The collector also said that the city is properly observing the Janata Curfew and he appreciated the industries and public for their co-operation.
